We are marching bravely toward winter with all its splendor – freezing temperatures, howling winds and for the vast majority of us, snow. Lots of snow. It’s no wonder this is the most popular time of year to install a Heatilator fireplace. But when it comes to choosing a fireplace, how do you really know how much heat you need? It’s an important decision and there are several things to take into consideration.

When determining what fireplace is right for your space, consider two things: BTUs and the square footage of the area you want to heat. A hearth expert at your local Heatilator dealer can show you all options and help you determine how many BTUs you need, but we’ve included a few examples below.

Novus™
