5 Things with Mr. F
Welcome to my first ever edition of 5 Things by Mr. F. I have some really exciting things to talk abut today so lets not waste any time and get right to it.
Change is coming to Alberta
I am quite sure you have heard that the citizens of Alberta have spoken, and after 44 years of the Progressive Conservatives being in power they have made a change. Last Tuesday night Alberta electing their first ever NDP Majority (or any Alberta NDP government for that matter). What does this mean for us Albertans? Well nobody is entirely sure. What I do know is that we are all still here, the world did not come to an end. Step away from the ledge folks. Judging by the feedback I saw on social media and have heard from this you would swear that we had just voted in the Communist Party or something. Whether you are excited about the new party or not we need to just unite as a province and hope that they are the kind of positive change that everyone hoped they would be. Give them a chance to govern the province and here is the awesome part of living in the free world, if you don’t like what they have done while in power, you can vote for someone else in the next election four years from now.
Spring Snow
Many Calgarians woke up this morning to a fresh blanket of snow and all I can say is I love it. There is something about a spring snowstorm that makes me smile (I love smiling by the way, it’s just the best!). Above all things about a good ole spring snowstorm that is awesome is knowing that, hey, it’s spring. This snow will not last. Lets enjoy it while its here!
BBQ Season
Speaking of spring snow, you know what’s another thing I love about a spring snowstorm? Barbequing in the snow! I love barbequing just about anytime but spring is my absolute favourite time to BBQ. Maybe it’s the simple fact that hey, winter is gone! I can cook outdoors again, or all the baby birds chirping and children running around playing again but how could you not love it? Don’t have a BBQ? Well I got you covered as Mr. Fireplace has their 2015 BBQ’s in stock now. Hooray!!
Calgary Flames Fall to the Anaheim Ducks
Well the Flames lost last night falling to the Anaheim Ducks in 5 games. What an absolute magical season they had. And while it was sad to see them lose out after trying so hard, lets prop them up. They achieved more than most experts said they would this season. They made hockey exciting in Calgary again and I am so excited to see if they can build on this season next year. On the plus side I can finally shave my playoff beard and a buddy of mine can finally get his haircut. Let’s collectively give them a Go Flames Go!
Big Things Coming For Mr. F
Finally I leave you on this, there are some big things coming from myself Mr. F in the near future. As you may know I am the Head of Security, Public Relations and Other Important Stuff at Mr. Fireplace and that is a roll I take very seriously. I am so excited to announce that I am in the process of expanding that roll. Look out in the near future for a very special announcement as to what that entails.
